How to use a tire inflator (with PSI chart)

Set the inflator to the pressure on your driver’s door sticker (vehicle load PSI), not the maximum molded on the tire sidewall. Auto shut-off exists so you do not guess in the dark.

Steps

  • Read the door-jamb recommended PSI cold
  • Screw or press the chuck onto the Schrader valve
  • Set target PSI and start the pump
  • Let auto shut-off finish; recheck with the gauge
  • Cap the valve; repeat for other tires including the spare if needed
